Sophie Lynn [welcome home] | Southern Indiana Fresh 48 Photographer

June 29th at 4:22pm, this sweet girl made her appearance earthside. Sophie Lynn is just gorgeous and her parents are so smitten. You can see the love in their eyes and in the way they play with her sweet nose and cheeks in the video below.

It's been crazy busy lately (which is awesome, no complaints here) especially when I get to hang out with the sweetest little family.  Louis is a stud and his parents are pretty darn cute as well.  He was born a chunky and those rolls are the studliest little man muscles that I've ever seen.

 

Nothing sweeter than those sweet baby arm rolls, expect maybe his new-baby smell and this photo of mom soaking up his sweet baby snuggles.

Working for Those Smiles | Southern IN Child Photographer

Sometimes smiles come effortlessly, for kids, adults, even elderly people. The funny stuff can usually crack a smile. What about 90 degree heat, a half done nap, and some stranger with a funny thing strapped to her face?

That was our first date, we met in the parking lot just as Mr. Colton woke up and the date started a little rocky. I actually don't mind when people don't smile. As long as I get to see those eyes, that's all I need for a great photo.

 Mom and Dad did a great job playing and chasing entertaining Colton. Which was no small feat in the super sticky heat (poetic right?). But we got some sweet genuine smiles and a lot of "Blue Steel" looks too.

This, dear friends, is why I love lifestyle sessions so much. We can play and run around and get amazing REAL photos. And of course Colton had to laugh when Dad put on all that big blue stuff ;) 

Hang in there buddy, luckily we have some other great teams in town.

   Even though he was exhausted, John's fomo got the best of him and he went to the party.

30 seconds between these 2 photos. Impressive

This little guy fought the good fight. He had some serious FOMO, didn't want to fall asleep for anything and turned into a professional snacker (and napping while snacking). But that's all part of the fun and it makes for some super cute and natural snuggle time. 

Sweet moms and dads-to-be, don't get discouraged with a fussy newborn during their first photoshoot. They are not used to being messed with so much. All they know is sleep and eat, so modeling experience takes a little time - and extra snacks - its hard work! 

But once we finally get a solid pass out (see first image above, 30 SECONDS) we get some really great sleepy stuff because they are so out. Like warm milk and a little hot toddy. For parents of course, don't feed that stuff to the baby... honey is bad for them :)

These sweet parents have an adorable little man in their hands and he has that amazing little newborn smell, so needless to say they are doing a really great job.

But seriously, this sweet family was amazing to work with and extremely patient with all of my many angles. What an amazing Swaddle Baby Plan session, little man was a champ and we even got a few with big brother Rocky (he's the furry one peeking over the crib rail, above).

Smiles and Sunshine [6 months] | Louisville, KY Child Photographer

 

 Remember this little guy? Well he was much smaller the last time we saw this sweet face, and he was not so happy with me. But here is again. Parker is 6 months old and I cannot imagine a happier little boy.

 Little brother is growing up quick and he is all smiles. Learning fast from big brother Connor too.

There is no denying these two guys are related. Connor on the left and Parker on the right - both at 6 months old.

Gigi even came over to help celebrate her birthday with these little studs,

 I swear, I don't know how momma will say no to these baby blues.

 I just love seeing my littlest clients grow. Connor man was a client as a newborn too and now he is big enough to help with the dishes! Goodness, slow down time.
