My sweet, sweet friends. I am so excited for them and their sweet little Baby Pea that will be here in the next few weeks. Whether baby girl gets dad's athleticism or mom's good looks and kind heart, this kid will be so very cherished and loved. Come on Baby Pea, we can't wait to meet you!

How sweet is that nursery and the quilt, yeah that's made of Granny Susan's clothes.  So special. And puppy brothers are super excited too, can't ya tell? :)

I can't wait to shoot this sweet girl's birth story, and newborn photos, and well ya know, whatever else aunt Meme desires, muhahahaha!

It's been crazy busy lately (which is awesome, no complaints here) especially when I get to hang out with the sweetest little family.  Louis is a stud and his parents are pretty darn cute as well.  He was born a chunky and those rolls are the studliest little man muscles that I've ever seen.

 

Nothing sweeter than those sweet baby arm rolls, expect maybe his new-baby smell and this photo of mom soaking up his sweet baby snuggles.

Working for Those Smiles | Southern IN Child Photographer

Sometimes smiles come effortlessly, for kids, adults, even elderly people. The funny stuff can usually crack a smile. What about 90 degree heat, a half done nap, and some stranger with a funny thing strapped to her face?

That was our first date, we met in the parking lot just as Mr. Colton woke up and the date started a little rocky. I actually don't mind when people don't smile. As long as I get to see those eyes, that's all I need for a great photo.

 Mom and Dad did a great job playing and chasing entertaining Colton. Which was no small feat in the super sticky heat (poetic right?). But we got some sweet genuine smiles and a lot of "Blue Steel" looks too.

This, dear friends, is why I love lifestyle sessions so much. We can play and run around and get amazing REAL photos. And of course Colton had to laugh when Dad put on all that big blue stuff ;) 

Hang in there buddy, luckily we have some other great teams in town.

Not a Cake Fan | Louisville, KY Child Photographer

Sometimes things don't go how we thought they would. Sometimes that means a joyous surprise, and sometimes that means a bit of a disappointment. But, sometimes its neither and it just leaves you going hmmm.

Well this little man's momma loves cake. She expected Jack to dive right in and never look back. 

Instead, Jack did this.

And that was that, no real cake eating went down.  Maybe mom and dad got some after all.

But he is the blondest little one that I've seen in a long while. And those baby blues!

So we just played with the sprinkles instead. Here's being ONE and having your cake, even if you don't want to eat it too.
